THE FARMERS' DAUGHTER - fresh produce, grown on-site or locally
Community Supported Agriculture (CSA)

Our Definition of CSA:  A customer purchases a “share” of the farm, consisting of farm products.  The “share” is packaged for pick-up on a weekly basis, throughout the growing season.  Farm products can consist of anything produced on the farm: fruit, vegetables, or value-added products.  We pack the "shares", depending on what is ripe that particular week.

                                               Whole share in September!
Benefits for the consumer:
1)     Large variety of farm products for spring, summer, and fall
        (2010 CSA ran from May-November).
2)   Each week you get a good variety of fresh vegetables, without
         having to grow them yourself!
3)   You know where and who your food is coming from.
4)   You can visit the farm anytime.
5)   You can come out and get your hands dirty (work option).
6)   You help our farm family stay a FARM family!

In 2012 we are offering 25 CSA Shares to the public.  The CSA program will run from June-October, with a 12-week minimum.   The whole shares are $25 weekly and average 25-lbs (more than half a bushel).  This amount can provide fresh vegetables for a family of 4 for a week.  This is also a good choice for canners.  When the green beans, tomatoes, sweet corn, Crowder peas, etc. are coming in, they can take home large quantities for their share.  Half shares are also available.  They are $14 per week and simply half of the amount of a whole share.  They are better suited for smaller households.  For more information on the CSA program contact Amy at thefarmersdaughterfarmmarket@gmail.com.
